“Preparing your team for difficult moments."
“Preparing your team for difficult moments."
I am a mental health clinician with over 20 years of specialized experience in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, safety assessment, and clinical triage. My work focuses on supporting individuals at high risk, strengthening crisis response systems, and advancing best clinical practices across large-scale crisis networks.
I have played a critical clinical role within the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline network, including conducting in-depth clinical reviews of complaints and suicide losses. Through this work, I identify patterns, systemic gaps, and training opportunities that help improve crisis counselor practice and enhance help-seeker safety. My contributions directly inform national guidance, training materials, and clinical standards used across the network.
In addition to my clinical leadership, I am a passionate trainer and speaker dedicated to translating complex suicide prevention concepts into clear, actionable tools. I am known for an engaging, thoughtful, and integrity-driven approach, and for walking alongside crisis counselors, mental health agencies, corporations, and the individuals they serve during their most vulnerable moments.
I am bilingual in Spanish and deeply committed to advancing culturally responsive crisis care.
Areas of focus include:
Suicide prevention and mental health response training
Manager- and HR-focused crisis prevention education
Crisis and post-incident consultation
Culturally responsive care
